The Island Food Systems Summit II is designed to be accessible while also honoring the real cost of gathering with intention. 

​

The true cost of the Summit is approximately $750 per participant for the full four days. This includes meals, snacks, ground transportation, printed materials, field-based learning experiences, facilitated sessions, documentation, tables, chairs, supplies, registration infrastructure and staff coordination.

​

Pay What You Can Registration allows participants to contribute according to their capacity while helping make sure the gathering is resourced with care.

​

We know that not every participant has access to the same level of financial support. Farmers, fishers, youth, elders, culture bearers, grassroots leaders, and community members often carry the deepest wisdom while having the least access to conference and travel budgets. At the same time, institutions, agencies, universities, funders, businesses, and organizations may have professional development, travel, or convening funds available.

For that reason, we ask each participant to choose the rate that best reflects their current capacity and access to resources.

Your contribution helps make this gathering rooted in access, dignity, mutual aid, and collective responsibility.
